The Most Wuthering Heights Day Ever – Margate

July 28 @ 12:00 pm - 6:00 pm

Join us at The Oval for a charity dance event celebrating the icon that is Kate Bush and help raise funds for local causes.

Get ready, Kate’s! The time has come to don your red dresses and join us for Margate’s first ever ‘The Most Wuthering Heights Day Ever’ (TMWHDE) at The Oval Bandstand in Cliftonville on Sunday 28th July, from 12pm to 5pm.

This lively event promises an afternoon filled with dancing, singing, and absolute fun for everyone. It’s a celebration of connection, community, and coming together with both friends and strangers to partake in a truly unique global movement recreating the iconic dance from the ‘Wuthering Heights’ music video—all for great local causes!

In addition to the charity fund-raising dance, we will curate an afternoon filled with Kate Bush themed entertainment, including singers, DJ performances, dancers, dance competitions, and more!

We are absolutely thrilled to reveal that the fantastic Denise Waterman, famed for her time with the iconic 80s band Tight Fit, will be our fabulous master of ceremonies for the day!

Organised by GRASS Cliftonville CIC, this event proudly supports Oasis, a local charity dedicated to alleviating the impact of domestic violence, and Mama to Mama, an organisation providing essential pre-loved items to vulnerable pregnant women, caregivers, and children under 5 living in poverty.

Our aim is ambitious: to raise over £2000 and gather at least 200 enthusiastic dancers, embodying the spirit of Kate, to support these incredible causes. All proceeds from the event go directly to these charities, ensuring your participation makes an immediate difference.

GRASS Cliftonville CIC acknowledges the inspiration drawn from the theatrical concept “The Ultimate Kate Bush Experience” by British theatrical group Shambush and Samantha Wareing, who, with permission, created The Most Wuthering Heights Day Ever.

Since 2016, over 10,000 ‘Cathy’s’ in more than 70 cities worldwide have united in mass ‘wuthering’ events, sometimes drawing crowds of over 2000 participants at a time!

Secure your tickets now for TMWHDE and help us reach our goal of £2000 and 200 dancing Cathy’s! Spread the word among your friends, family, and colleagues to join us for a fantastic afternoon of ‘wuthering’ while supporting these amazing organisations.

Let’s make this event a ‘wutherly’ spectacular success together!

See you there, Kate’s!
