Delighted to share we’ve secured funding for our Wayfinding Project, designed to help visitors on the Viking Coastal Trail find their way into Cliftonville and Margate discover everything our community has to offer.

A huge thank you to everyone who completed our Oval Active Movement survey, your feedback helped shape these plans and made this project possible. 🙌💛

We’re also incredibly grateful to Kent County Council, Kent Connected and Jam Busters for their support in bringing this project to life.

Over the coming months, we’ll be installing new large maps and wayfinding signs at The Oval, capturing those walking or cycling the coastal trail and highlighting local places of interest, independent businesses, cafés, shops, hotels, and more. The project also includes directional finger-arms, building on the planning approval secured last year.

This means that anyone passing The Oval will have clear, up-to-date information about what’s happening in Cliftonville and Margate, plus easy-to-follow walking routes. 🗺️✨

It’s an exciting step forward for active movement, helping visitors explore Cliftonville and Margate confidently and encouraging more people to enjoy our community on foot and by bike.
